About Commonwealth Nursing Solutions

Brief History

Since 2010, Commonwealth Nursing Solutions has been assisting our clients with everything from community integration, companionship, transportation, personal care and homemaking services. We are available anytime—days, nights, weekends, holidays, short periods, or 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our Mission

Our team is committed to providing high-quality, client-centered home care services to our clients. We are dedicated to assisting our clients in leading dignified and independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes. Their individual needs are carefully monitored and met through the selective assignment of qualified, trustworthy, and compassionate personnel.

Amy Elsbury, BSN | Executive Director

Amy Elsbury serves as the Executive Director and began with Commonwealth Nursing Solutions when it was founded in 2010. She has a background in nursing home administration, management, and customer service after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Amy moved here from Illinois in 2006 with her husband, her two boys, and a cat named Kit Kat. In 2019, she added a new member to her family who has also turned out to be CNS’ mascot: Baxter, a miniature Goldendoodle. In her free time, Amy enjoys being with her family and friends and traveling to any tropical location.

Yolanda Hayes | Human Resource Manager

Yolanda Hayes has been the Human Resource/Office Manager for Commonwealth Nursing Solutions since it was founded in 2010. She, along with Amy, the executive director, and the CNS owners, started the company from the ground up. Today, Yolanda manages the daily operations of the office and employee requirement needs. Yolanda has over 30 years of experience in health care/home care human resource requirements and profoundly believes in the CNS mission of assisting clients with independent and dignified living. In her spare time, Yolanda is dedicated to being a new grandparent to a beautiful baby girl and to two golden retrievers, and she also travels as much as she can with her husband, family, and friends.

Rose Smith, MSSW | Developmental Coordinator

Mary Rose Pinotti Smith is the Development Coordinator for Commonwealth Nursing Solutions. She focuses on staff recruitment, client referral coordination, note documentation training and supervision, and activities coordination. Rose graduated from the University of Louisville with a Master of Science degree in Social Work and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Anthropology, Minor in Vocal Performance from the University of Transylvania. Rose is the oldest of 5 girls, and the sibling just younger than her has a developmental disability, which motivated her to be an advocate and work for clients that have developmental and intellectual disabilities. Rose is also a wife, mom, professional singer, and crafter. She keeps her office decorated for each and every holiday, so if you ever need to add a touch of glitter to your life, just pay her a visit.

Baxter, CNS Team Mascot

Baxter joined CNS in 2019 and is dedicated to his role as CNS Team Mascot. He has proven to be an asset in his therapy abilities for staff and clients alike. Baxter’s workdays are busy in the office or out in the community making his rounds.
